There are a few different ways to post videos to a Padlet board. There are video upload limitations for free (Neon) Padlet plans that vary based on the method used. 


Add a video from Google Drive 

**Recommended Method - No limitations!


Upload video to Google Drive


In Google Drive, click + New



Choose File Upload and select your video file. 


**Note that your video may take time processing before it's fully uploaded to Google Drive. 


Add video to Padlet Post


Click the (+) button in the bottom-right corner, double-clicking anywhere on the board, or tapping "C" on your keyboard. 


Click the More attachments button (a + sign followed by a number) on the right side of the post composer window.


This will open a new window with lots of options for attachment uploads. Click the Google Drive button.


You will be prompted to give Padlet permission to access your Google Drive account. 


Select your video file and choose Select.



Remember to click Publish to complete the post.


Upload existing video from your device

**Free plan limitation - Video attachments must be 20MB or smaller


Click the (+) button in the bottom-right corner, double-clicking anywhere on the board, or tapping "C" on your keyboard. 


To post a video that is stored on your device, click the File Upload icon on the left side of the post composer. 


In the window that opens, select the video file from your device. 


You can also drag and drop the video file from your computer onto the post composer. 


Once the file loads in your post, click Publish to complete the post. 


Record a video with Video Booth

You can use this option when recording a video of yourself speaking or recording your laptop screen. 

**Free plan limitation - Videos recorded in Padlet's Video Booth must be 2 minutes or less


Click the (+) button in the bottom-right corner, double-clicking anywhere on the board, or tapping "C" on your keyboard. 


To record a video with Video Booth, click the More attachments button (a + sign followed by a number) on the right side of the post composer window.


This will open a new window with lots of options for attachment uploads. Click the Video Recorder button.


This will open your webcam. The first time you use the Video Recorder, you will have to allow permission for your browser to access your webcam and microphone. Click Allow while visiting this site


Use your webcam to take a video that will show up in your post.


Once you're done recording, click Next.


Review your creation and then choose Save.


Remember to click Publish to complete the post.



Posted videos will display differently depending on the method used to post the video.
