Official Notes can be used by teachers to record parent communication. 


Compose Official Note

Official Notes can be composed from the global navigation or from the course roster page. 


Choose Official Notes from the global navigation in the top-right and click Compose Official note. 


Or from the course Roster page, select the triple-dot icon (...) under a student's name, then View profile


Go to the Official Notes tab and click Compose official note


Enter the following information:

  1. Student(s): Start typing the student(s) name(s) and search results will appear. 
  2. Type: Choose the appropriate official note type from the dropdown list. 
    • Teachers should only use types that begin with "T".
  3. Date: By default, this will be today's date. You can use the calendar picker took to pick a different date. 
  4. Note: Compose the message (use the available placeholders to personalize the official note). 
  5. DO NOT check the boxes for "Print of report card" or "Print on transcript".
  6. Select Send Save As Draft, or Send for Approval (depending on the Official Note type parameters).
