Create Padlet Account

  1. To create a free Padlet account, go to padlet.com.
  2. Click Sign up
  3. Use the Sign up with Google option.

The free Padlet account allows you to create up to 3 Padlets. A user doesn't not need a Padlet account in order to post to a Padlet. However, if you want them to create their own Padlets or if you want their posts to include their name automatically, they need to create their own account. If a teacher wants to create more than 3 Padlets, they will need to upgrade their account. Plans and pricing can be found here

Create a basic Padlet (Wall)

Ways to Share your Padlet

Share your padlet via link of QR code

Once your Padlet is created, you can share the Padlet to others using a link. By default, the permissions are set to "Writer" which means anyone with the link can add posts to the Padlet.

Require log-in to view your padlet

While a visitor to you Padlet can add a post without logging in, if they forget to add their name, their posts will be anonymous. For this reason, I suggest requiring the visitor to login to post.

Share a submission request link

Typically, a visitor can see all existing posts on the Padlet before adding their own post. If you want students to post before being able to see other students' posts or you do not want students to see each other's posts at all, you don you can use the "Submission request link" option.

Padlet as Flip Alternative

For teachers who are looking to use Padlet as an alternative to Flip (FlipGrid). Students can post both videos and screen recordings to a Padlet.
